Use safety iPad
iPad is a safe computing devices. The combination of secure hardware and software make it a safety device than a PC or a Mac, especially if applied right security steps.
Password and encryption
All iPad are manufactured with features powerful hardware encoder built in, but you need to enable this feature. The simplest way to do is set a password (passcode) for the iPad. As soon as the password is set, your data will be automatically encrypted. To enable a password, select Settings -> General -> Passcode Lock and enter a 4 digit code two times.
If you want to be safer, you can not select the Simple Passcode (simple code) on the same page; then you can use longer codes. While at that page, you should also set the Require Passcode (enter code) no longer than 15 minutes and click Erase Data (delete data). (Technically, the device deletes the decryption key iPad, not actually erase the data, but do so more quickly and efficiently no less).
All modern IOS devices were manufactured with a second layer of encryption, known as the Data Protection (data protection). While basic encryption feature is enabled by opening the password protect all data on the device (including your application), this feature can be dissolved by means of intervention unlocked (jailbreak). Data Protection and content encryption email attachment you; this feature can not be cracked even if the password has been solved by jailbreak. Data Protection is also provided for programmers to use in applications, but few people exploit this feature. (Currently, no jailbreak tool for both iPad 2, the basic encryption is still safe, but this situation probably will not last long).
Advanced encryption
To use, select the Configuration Profile -> New, and select Passcode from the list displayed. In the Passcode followed, you have all kinds of options; set here will control your iPad. At least you can specify a minimum length for passwords.
To activate the password setting, you will have to fill out some information on the General tab, especially the name and identifier of the Profile. If this is the only device you use, you can choose Always in the Security drop-down box. (This allows you to remove the profile if you wish). If you configure the iPad for others to use, you can select Never or With Authorization (and then provide a password) so that it can not change the settings if you are not allowed.
Install profiles are easy to implement: Click Share to email your profile to the iPad. On the tablet, open the Mail, find the letter, click on the attached document, and select Install. You can also export profile to a file can be downloaded and installed the Safari browser of the iPad.
Enable remote wipe
Delete the remote is a critical security tool lets you erase data on lost iPad if and when the device connected to the Internet. If you have a MobileMe account, you can set up the account by activating the Find My iPad feature in the Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> MobileMe. Business users can connect to a Microsoft Exchange server (or other Exchange servers like Kerio Connect ) can remove their devices with Exchange ActiveSync support. This is done on the server, not on your device, so you have to do this with your IT administrator.
Remote wipe feature only works if the network connection. That's why some companies just buy iPad 3G data contracts only.
Good safety habits
One thing to do is ensure that your network connection as secure as possible. The best way is to use VPN.
Another way is to use a secure connection for email. The Microsoft Exchange Server data encryption by default. If you use IMAP or POP3 server, and it supports SSL, you can select Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> your account -> Advanced on the iPAQ and activate this feature.
Although Data Protection encrypted attachments in your email when you send the document to an application like Pages, it only features of IPAD basic encryption protects only. If you really care for that document, you can use an email server security especially as Good for Enterprise and Application iPad free companion. Good tool to block attachments by email (and the files are downloaded from its browser security) within the application, which means you can read these documents, but they are not corrected .
If you lose the iPad, one of the first things you should do is change your passwords on all services, like Dropbox or iDisk, which you connect to them.
Finally, you should use Password Pro application. This application helps you have good habits of encryption (a complex password for each site), it sync with your Mac and your device over the network using DropBox, and it stores the recorded Security Notes and other information such as passwords. This application also has an embedded its own browser to log into the web page without having to copy-and-paste your account information.
