When working with applications like iWork Pages, Number and Keynote, if you just copy the document to see the iPad is not enough. You will also need to (import) files the iPad before you can view and edit them. To do this with Pages application, you first open the application on the iPAQ and touch the folder icon on the toolbar, then you will see a list of documents available on the machine. Next, select the document you need to import by touching the corresponding name. After this step, the document you selected displayed in the list of My Documents and you can start working with this document. Please note, applications for iPad iWork does not allow synchronization of files that the name contains special characters like a "/".So, you remove all the special characters from file name before moving them. One thing to remember is that the import documents are not always smooth, not all fonts and details of the documents were "restored" as expected. If you encounter problems of this form, to Apple's home page, go to FAQ to find solutions. Extract iWork documents Once you've finished editing the document on the iPad, you have to extract (export) these documents before transferring them to your computer using iTunes. Tap on the icon My Documents (or My My Presentations Spreadsheets depending on application). Open the document and hit the "send". Next, choose Export and then select the file format (for example, if you're working with a document in Pages, you will have to choose the format to save). If you make changes to a document were imported using iTunes, you'll see a dialog box asking if you want to change the original file no. Choose Replace to continue. Then the utility will export the file, and you can copy them back to your Mac with iTunes. Note, iPad other applications may not require the import / export data. For example, utilities GoodReader can display multiple file formats including PDF, Microsoft Office, text files have been added earlier in iTunes.
