 2. Click on the tab Apps (Applications). Now you can click between the screen and drag to another application (like you manipulate the iPhone) to create the directory. Although not clear, you can use the iTunes search box (upper right corner) to select the application list. The search for applications in this way is much easier, as you can pull from the filtered list to the left of the iTunes window, and drop them into folders.

 3. Like the iPhone, you can rename your folder from this screen.

 4. When done, click Sync to update your device.

If you do not use folders, you may wonder why to try to arrange a group of applications on IOS devices. But if you decide to use, you will see they have many uses.

For starters, you can choose arrange applications on the same topic similar groups, such as a directory for the game or the text editor, free up screen space and make security related applications are all sorted into easy to search place. You can also create folders to hide any application where you least used to, especially the group's default Apple applications, such as Stocks (securities) and Weather (weather), but there's no delete them.
