Chrome, Firefox trials hide the address bar URL
Notebook computer users and computer tables will have a wider screen space when using the Chrome browser, Firefox.
Google and Mozilla are testing versions of Chrome and Firefox browsers capable of hiding the web address (URL).The feature is currently still in beta testing.

In the Canary Chrome browser version last, you activate the "Compact Navigation", right click on any tag (tab) and select "Hide the toolbar." URL address bar will disappear. To display the address bar, click on the tab is open.
In the version of Chrome Canary 13, enter the words "about: flags" in the URL, choose Compact Navigation and restart the browser. Home Ars Technica says this feature only works with Windows Canary version, currently not supported on Mac OSX.
Mozilla is also testing similar features to Firefox.
An add-on for Firefox 4, called LessChrome HD, will hide all the toolbar below the tabs (tab) is open, you do not use them. The toolbar will reappear when you move the mouse pointer on the card is opened, or when you switch tabs. The user can set LessChrome HD from the Add-on Firefox .

According to StatCounter, both Firefox and Chrome currently holds 43% of the browser market, so they can promote the use of hidden features URL address bar, is less common. However, Microsoft is also holding half the browser market with Internet Explorer, and the company does not intend to allow users to hide the URL bar in the future.
