Backup iPhoto library photos



Article introduces how to back up iPhoto '11 photo library in your Mac into an external hard drive or CD / DVD.
The system is broken, to lose data, especially all the pictures you stored in the machine. Therefore, Mac users should regularly use the features Time Machine to back up photos on external hard drive.
Backup to external hard drive
Connect the external hard drive on your Mac and then pop up. A Finder window will appear, displaying the content of external hard drives. Then open a new Finder window and select your Pictures folder, a folder containing image files of the iPhoto library. Next, drag the files onto an external hard drive folder. You can overwrite the old file, if any.

Backup to CD / DVD
For iPhoto library is smaller, you can backup to CD / DVD. Insert the CD or DVD optical drives into your Mac, drag the iPhoto Library from your Pictures folder icon on the desktop optical drive. Then, drag the icon towards the trash can to enable the application to burn Burn Disc.

If the size of your iPhoto library too large for the size of a DVD, you can record each part. From the iPhoto application, mark the images you want to copy, then select Share -> Burn from the menu bar. This is a pretty good way to create backup disks.
iPhoto lets you burn images to disc.
To export your presentation, use the Finder to locate the folder Pictures folder and drag them to DVD.
If you want to create disk images for viewing on your computer, you must first export the images to a folder on the desktop using the command File -> Export, and then drag that folder to DVD.
